Maddie is 9!

Madison is 9 years old today. Our traditional BDay breakfast went off without a hitch. She was quick to remind us last night that she was excited about it. It is funny what traditions stick in a kids mind. She is having a small friend party tonight and a family party on Monday. It will be a big weekend. Here are some Maddie pics.

Long Nights

Dear Lord we are parents again. Nights are long and crying baby is the norm! However, we are so thankful for the Avonlea and the amazing progress she and Star have shown over the weekend. The last day has been filled with family and good food. Debbie Hamilton brought soup on Saturday night which quickly became Sat. supper, Sunday lunch, and Sun. afternoon snack for Stephen. Wow. You have to get the recipe!

Stephen's dad brought Stephen's grandmother over on Sunday afternoon for a baby visit. We had a great time in the living room just talking about how cute the baby is. Hope and Jackson returned home from Friendswood with Star's mother in the early afternoon. They had a good time and it really gave us a chance to acclimate with the baby and Madison. It was a special time.

Avonlea is off to the doctor this morning for a check-up, Maddie and Jack are at school, Hope is with Marcy and Star, Stephen is popping into some staff meetings and headed back home today.

Thanks to all who have offered to rbing food through mealbaby.com. Thank you Everitt and Joel for the website hookup. Who knew two guys could organize suppers so well!!!!

Going Home!

Hey people. We busted out at around 1:30 today (sat.) Madison was able to be with us when we brought Avonlea home! We are on the couch enjoying some home time. Here are the pics.

Baby World

Friday is a great day in baby world. Star is officially off the crazy meds that had her flying yesterday. She enjoyed a great day of recuperation and rest. She even squeezed in some Wheel last night. (I, however, enjoyed Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull with Jackson last night.) Okay, back to baby. Avonlea Jane is the picture of a healthy baby. All functions are normal and she has a healthy appetite. We have enjoyed the help of the nursery here at Memorial City. It is surreal to be back on the same floor we were on with Madison 9 years ago! We even recognize some of the staff.

I took the kids to school this morning and got to the hospital around 9:15 or so. Star and I enjoyed some good awake time with Avi. Marcy ( Mom-in-Law) brought Hope to visit this morning. She (Hope) will be on the learning curve in the weeks to come with new baby sis. She is so intense about getting to hold her. 2 year olds are "handsy"! Dean-na (our good friend and Stephen's co-worker) has Hope for a bit this afternoon. Everyone is happy!
